We went for a little trip last night
At first it seemed like a fright
Then it turned out it was really a delight
Since I had my honey by my side.

In life there is never a free ride
Most often there is a price to pay
Even at times there are many ugly
word people say to try to make you
feel like you feel dismayed but
alas when you have good partner
and friend, it puts all the raw feelings
to an end.

We have each other so when
it comes to the hogwash of another then
we band together and walk away
hand in hand our minds going to another
land which is full of joy and happiness

You see no matter how you feel about me
how bad you treat me the ugly things you think
the rumors you spread I have a couple of things to
keep me going after what I conceive to be words with one.

This is what keeps me from coming undone
I have my reality that I do not  let your nonsense seep in
I also have my best friend that you can bet on my honey
is right there beside me day and night he will always help
me to win a mental, physical, or spiritual fight.

So I bid you adu with all your fake words and your
outrageous smile. I hope I do not run into you again for
a long long while.

Daughter of a wayward mom.

Here I sit wondering my plight. I have a daughter who needs me
I try with all my might to save her from herself. 
She is me all over again headstrong and witty
been like that for real since she was little bitty.
I never had a kid stay in their room to play alone.
She liked her space and still likes to be all on her own
I get to talk to her here and there on the phone
I sit and ponder will she be better if I help her in little ways
Will she be stronger because I am weak
Did I teach her anything to help her in life
Will she be able to reach her dreams
without cooking up a lot of drama and schemes
Will her heart be true, or will logic win in the end
Can she make the two blend to work for her benefit
I hope she can overcome my family traits of doom, chaos, 
and the forever two steps back. I do not regret the days we
stayed outside till dark to play, or the hugs and kiss that I really
miss. I do think of the turmoil and dismay as I showed her all 
of my love, but did not teach her of the cruel world as we know it
I did not tell her it will try to tear her down, it will hold her down
until she almost breaks. I never said to be afraid. I never said watch
 your money, watch your back, watch your friends, watch your neighbors, 
and for sure watch the family. They will be your demise every time. 
Now I just pray she saw my life, of struggle and strife
 even though it has been a full and lovely life
 I hope she wins and gets past the dark, but still manages to hold onto her heart. 

Steadfast

Imbolg is here. Darkness is fading fast. Our son, our light is coming along.

Like a whisper in my ear spring is singing her song. The dawn will be sooner, the day will brighter and longer. Soon you will feel warm and stronger. Pretty flowers, little bees and birds in the trees soon you will see looking down at thee. Look out your window every day and be amazed. Winter will fade bringing on your shady tree you can sit next to and dream.

An explosion of outdoor frolic and laughter will be dotted everywhere. Kites in the air as the warm breeze blows through your hair. While the nights are still frosty and cold, the days have become a kingdom of sun rays peeking through filling your senses with many surprises.

Darkness has its place. Do not feel sad but stay steadfast as you wait for the winter to finish the job. Preparing the lands for motherhood and fertility to bring in new life. Dance a dance and sing a tune. Celebrate the resurrection of rebirth about to take place near and far across every land.

While Brigid crosses are made and plans for Spring await to be carefully laid be ever thankful for the darkness that holds it place to balance the wheel. I ti is now time to look forward and focus on the season of light. Save it in your heart all shiny and bright. Lust for the Spring as she ever grows closer bringing on laughter and cheer.
